In the wake of our successful sponsorship of 2017’s Quality by Design Symposium, ColVisTec is delighted to announce its involvement with the 6th Quality by Design Symposium.

The all-day event takes place at The Venue at De Montfort University, Leicester, and will bring together industry regulators, experts, and academics to discuss the most pertinent issues affecting the sector.

All told, the event is expected to attract approximately 150 delegates, of which around two-thirds are influencers or part of the industry. This offers ample opportunity for networking, plus those in the industry can learn about how to implement the QbD principles in their workplaces.

Attendees and exhibitors will share their research with the aim of moving the industry forward, plus the event will offer networking opportunities, speeches, and panel discussions confronting topics on the QbD agenda.

2018’s symposium will focus on the subject of medicine manufacture, and the pathway towards innovation in the industry. The event brings together several industry experts, including representatives from companies like ColVisTec and GlaxoSmithKline. One such representative is Kendal Pitt, who will share his expertise with others at the event.

Kendal Pitt, Senior Technical Director and Head COE Oral Solid Dosage Forms at GlaxoSmithKline

A graduate of the University of London’s School of Pharmacy, where he earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Kendal Pitt has served GlaxoSmithKline since 2006. His previous experience includes his work as a senior research fellow with MSD, and a two-year stint as an Associate Director with Merck. He has also published research into the use of a Manufacturing Classification System (MCS), for drugs in oral solid dosage forms.
