The International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark

ColVisTec is proud to announce its participation in the International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy 2017 (ICNIRS2017) meeting, which will be held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen Denmark. This year’s conference is the 18th iteration of the event.

This four-day event running from June 11–15, 2017, ICNIRS2017 will focus on the main theme of “NIR Spectroscopy (NIRS) at work in industry”, though the event’s program will cover eight topics, including dairy and food, water, and hyper-spectral imaging, among others.

The event hopes to attract approximately 500 participants, who will enjoy several presentations and keynote speeches from noted luminaries in the industry, like the Associate Professor, Maria Angela Franceschini.

Maria Angela Franceschini, Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School

With expertise in the research, development, and application of non-invasive optical techniques, with a focus on areas such as brain health and neuroscience, Dr. Franceschini works as an Associate Professor at the acclaimed Harvard Medical School. Beyond this role, she collaborates with the Optics Division of the Massachusetts General Hospital. Widely regarded as an innovator in the field of NIRS, she has contributed important work on testing the diffusion theory as it applies to turbid media, and she has also helped to develop several NIRS instruments.
